What is a health coach? Why YOU need one!
What is a health coach you might ask? As a health coach, I am trained to work with clients around all lifestyle factors (sleep, relaxation, exercise/movement, stress, nutrition and relationships). These lifestyle factors have a significant and direct correlation to your health. Working with a health coach can also lead to a better understanding of your health and a deeper commitment to following recommendations made by your practitioners.
It is my goal to empower you to draw on your inner strengths, develop self-knowledge and embrace self-management strategies in order to make the often challenging lifestyle changes necessary for optimal health.

Your Health Coach is an Accountability Partner
This is important because when you go to a traditional doctor’s appointment, your physician may recommend a lifestyle change or provide you with a prescription for a new medication but there is little to no follow up. At Rise Up, we take your follow-ups very seriously! You’ll be seeing and hearing from me big time! We want to help you be accountable for your actions and for you to take an active role in your health.
We have found that by having our clients take an active role in their own health it leads to greater achievement of their health goals. As your health coach I am here to guide you, educate you and most importantly support you through your health journey. I am here to listen to your concerns, celebrate your achievements and stand by you when you fall down.

When I meet a client for the first time, I will honor where you are in your life. I will not rush you into my agenda, in fact I don’t have one for you. I want you to feel free, comfortable and willing to share with me so that we can find out together how you can rise up to be your best self. I will listen with intent, support, and challenge you as you take the steps to achieve wellness. As well, I look at you from a functional approach rather than a few symptoms. We dig in to the root cause of your symptoms so that we can put the right plan together for you
My Process
As your coach I am here to provide you with support as you uncover the answers that lie inside you. We begin with the Why of Wellness which is a series of questions meant to help you and me get to know you better and understand where we can make improvements in your life. Once we complete the why of wellness we will really dig in and start to peel back the layers so you can achieve the utmost in your health journey.
Unique Framework
All of us are different therefore it is very important for me to get to know you. We will create a customized individual progress plan for you. This plan will include, hopes, dreams, challenges, and goals. We will check in on the plan as we work together and make adjustments as we work together so that your plan is constantly evolving to fit your needs.
Why Rise Up?
Much like the moon we all have some bumps and bruises be it mentally or physically but we don’t always know that we can rise up like the moon each night. Conversely our society tells us to be like the sun, always bright and cheery even when we feel dark and dreary. My goal is to teach you to be like the moon, we rise up every day even when all we can give is 1% we still show up. The moon waxes and wanes and that is a natural process in our society we just have to be willing to trust ourselves and commit to rising up each day and being grateful for the little things because they matter just as much as the big ones. occasional ‘push’ when I need it. We end our meetings with a plan – goals for the next meeting and typically some kind of ‘exploring’ for me: anything from a new option for my diet to changing my perspective by previewing a book.

My well being and my journey to wellness is a complex web of family, food, work, sleep, attitude, knowledge, and about 100 other things. We have an introductory rate of $250 for 3 55 min sessions, after that it is $125 per 55 min session
What will I talk about in my session?
There are so many things we can talk about together to help you be the best version of yourself. We also can talk about what is on your mind that day. This is all about YOU and YOUR needs and wants.
How long are health coaching sessions?
Sessions are either 30 or 55 minutes
Are you HIPPA compliant?
Yes, as a functional medicine health coach I will follow all HIPPA guidelines.
